Join us for a day of communing with plants, tending to the land, and connecting with community. Our intention for these days is to practice ayni, or reciprocity, with the land. These days are meant be nourishing and filled with gratifying labor. We take our time to introduce ourselves to the land by beginning with a plant sit, nourishing our bodies with lunch, and finally tending to the land to show our gratitude. We ask all participants and staff to:
wear a well fitting respirator mask (kn95 or better) while not actively eating or drinking. masks will be available on site.
show photo proof of a negative COVID test (PCR/RAT) taken the day of the event, ideally before arrival. tests will be available on site.
If you plan to test on site, please arrive on time, the test results take up 30 mins! Please reach out to me if there are other strategies of community care that we have not named that you would like to practice.
Additionally, please stay home if you feel sick, suspect you have been exposed to COVID-19 within the past 10 days, are recovering from COVID-19 and/or live/share indoor space with someone who currently has COVID-19 in order to minimize spread. If you are taking public transportation or carpooling with someone outside of your household, please wear a well fitting respirator (KN95 or better). If you do not have access to a KN95 mask check out a local mask bloc or library for free masks and tests (see map here)
We highly encourage participants to limit high-risk activities (ex: flights, unmasked indoor parties, etc) at least 7 days before participating in this event and continue masking in public spaces (including around people who you do not know their covid status). Hand sanitizer and hand washing stations will be available at all times and is required for anyone sharing tools and food during the event.

Terrain: All activities will take place outdoors, on grassy and uneven terrain. There is a slight incline from the gravely parking lot to the welcome area closest to the high tunnel, tool shed and bathroom.
Activities: We will have different activities that have varying impact levels to make sure there is an activity for everyone. welcome to switch at any point. Self-paced breaks for water, stretching, resting, bathroom use are encouraged.
Water: Drinking water will be available but please bring your own water bottle.
Bathroom: There will be a single stall, gender inclusive porta-potty onsite with a hand washing station on the outside.

10:30AM ARRIVAL
11-12:30PM PLANT SIT: We will introduce ourselves to one medicinal plant that is grown on the farm by sitting with, holding, and drinking the plant to tap into the physical, spiritual, and energetic medicine they hold. Please bring a journal and something to write with for this activity.
12:30-1PM LUNCH: Food will be provided. If you would like to bring snacks to share, we welcome it! Please make sure your offering is clearly labelled with ingredients.
1-4PM LAND TENDING: We will have different activities that have varying impact levels to make sure there is an activity for everyone. You are welcome to switch at any point. Self-paced breaks for water, stretching, resting, bathroom use are encouraged.
4:30PM CLOSING & DEPARTURE: cleaning up our work areas, sharing lessons from the day, group picture and harvesting herbs to take home.

Please keep in mind the weather for the day and dress appropriately as we will be outside the entire time.
The terrain is uneven and can be very muddy in certain areas if it has recently rained, so please wearsturdy boots that you don’t mind getting muddy or possibly wet.
Ticks are present! We encourage you to do a tick check when you get home. Some other preventative measures include: wearing light colored clothing, long sleeves and pants, wear tick spray, or socks over pants.
We have very limited shaded areas especially during the middle of the day. So please make sure to bring a hat, sunglasses, wear sunscreen, and drink lots of water if the weather is forecasted be sunny and warm.
