Pick Your Own

Pick-Your-Own is designed for anyone interested in a full sensory experience while harvesting your own fresh culinary and medicinal herbs to take home. This offering is intended to bring us together in the practice of abundance, sharing the gifts of the land while ensuring there is enough for each other to enjoy. You select how much to harvest, how often (within designated harvest dates+times) and a sliding scale rate that meets your needs.

  • We have seasonal availability of the following herbs: tulsi, calendula, rue, lemon balm, anise hyssop, cat mint, marigolds, thyme, oregano, sage, etc.

There are also tons of plants growing around the farm available for foraging (mugwort, burdock, multiflora rose, self heal, violet, raspberry leaf, clover, etc)

Click here to see a list of herbs available each week.

  • Stop by the farm during open hours Monday-Friday 9am-4pm and on select weekend dates (check volunteer day schedule). Reach out to us if you are interested in coming on a date not listed to make sure we are available (especially if this is your first time visiting us).

  • Herbs are available on a sliding scale basis, meaning pay what you can afford based on your income and access to wealth.

We will have a price list available on site to help you determine how much you want to pay.

You may also consider the following factors to help you decide:

what is your intended use of the herbs?

Pay more if you are a business owner and your intended use is for commercial purpose vs someone who is involved in mutual aid work

what is your access to wealth?

Pay more if you have generational wealth, expendable income or want to practice paying it forward for others to access this resource at a lower cost.

  • You are welcome to bring your own harvest baskets and shears, but please make sure to properly clean and disinfect your tools before harvesting. We will also have scissors, a scale and other handy tools available for use.

We encourage you to also bring an offering of gratitude for the herbs before your harvest. This may be a song, poem, tobacco or any offerings that feel most available to you.
